I have had a read of Peter's post with the outline for the log expectation.
I think I have a lot of work to put in, I feel as if I come from another planet and don't really know how to do a lot of these things, and here I was thinking I knew how to really work with computers, that is until I started this course.
With this I will learn as I go, but there seem to be a lot of people out there that are so far advanced, it is a little overwhelming.
I look at others work and think wow and am a little worried my log is on the boring and bland side. I am just posting what I am doing for the modules and other reflections but have not really started up any of these new and cool things that I am seeing.

Module 1 Summary

With module 1 now complete I am looking back at what I have achieved.
Telnet was easy to use after I sorted out my connection issues.
FTP was pretty straightforward.
Internet Tools - this one I'm still not too sure about wether I completed correctly.
I don't think I really gained a proper understanding of this area and may go on to do some further reading.

All in all first module complete and not too scary, am slowly starting to get into my learning log, still need to start making comments. One step at a time this is all new to me.

FTP Task- CAPITALIZATION MATTERS

I found the filezilla ftp client easy to navigate.
It was quick to download and install and easy to use. No need to use help, very self explanatory.

Telnet Task B

Blinkenlights really lets you see how far we have come.

I found it very bland and boring to watch.

It is clever how they have made a movie simply with keystrokes, but compare it to what we can do now with the internet and we have come in leaps and bounds.

With any technological changes the needs, interests and creativity of users has enabled us to have better interfaces and animations. And with everything i'm sure it will only get better.

Telnet - Task A

After my first little hurdle with this task finally got it all working.
Must say very frustrating at first, simple enough to use in the end though.

Is this Study???

Just signed up for Google reader. Slowly getting into this.

Isn't this supposed to be study. Oh well no complaints here, quite the opposite to all those accounting subjects, may have to change my study path.

Telnet task - HELP!!

I am having some difficulty with the Telnet task.

Really frustrated at the moment, not sure what I am doing wrong.

Top 5 Tips for New Bloggers

Considering I am a new blogger I don't really have many tips that will probably be of use, but here we go...

1. Do some research about blog tools, visit websites and check out some blogs to get some ideas.
2. Decide what the blog is for and the intended audience.
3. Make it interesting, add links and be different.
4. Keep things simple, don't make it any harder than it really is.
5. At the end of the day, just go for it, be brave. It's the best way to learn and you can always change it up later.
